When these twin sisters met their favorite star, they discovered something shocking. Celebrities are a different level, and we can feel a difference every time we approach one, especially one of a class caliber like Morgan Freeman, Will Smith, Jim Carrey, Robert Downey Jr. Etc. Fans are applauding Hollywood star Keanu Reeves for his hands off approach with female fans in many photos that are going viral online. While not groping someone is just about the bare minimum for decent behavior.
Twitter users have been circulating pictures this week of the John Wick Chapter Three Parabellum star in respectful poses with fans and costars reported HuffPost in the images. Reeves keeps his hands hovering near the female fans or in his pockets, avoiding potentially awkward skin contact. When describing Keanu Reeves personality, it’s hard to stay indifferent to him.
His outstanding and Noble nature can persuade anyone to believe in the fact that chivalry does exist. Nevertheless, there are certain facts about his life that usually tend to stay behind the scenes, and that’s what we’re going to tell you about in this article.
The actor has various ancestors, including Chinese, Portuguese, English, Irish, native Hawaiian and English. His mother, Patricia Taylor, comes from Essex, England, Great Britain, and his father, Samuel Nolan Reeves Jr. Comes from Hawaii. Moreover, Keanu’s grandmother from his father’s side is a mix of Chinese and Hawaiian. Keanu Reeves is the nicest person in the world, and we’re lucky to have him.
And even though other similar caliber Hollywood actors feel that their status exempts them from a lot of boring, everyday stuff, the 54 year old actor still happily agrees to take pictures with fans. Someone, however, pointed out an interesting detail about Keanu posing with us mortals. His Hover hand. Keanu Reeves, a Canadian actor known for his nobility in the Hollywood film industry, is so humble, down to Earth and well mannered that he doesn’t shy away from sharing his success with the co authors and crews of his movies.
The gentle star famously gave away most of his earnings from the blockbuster trilogy The Matrix to the special effects and costume designer team of the movie because he felt that they were the real heroes of the movie.
He also gave away the opportunity to earn millions just so his production team could afford famous actors for his movies, like Al Pacino for The Devil’s Advocate and Gene Hackman for The Replacement. Reeves had a tough childhood. His father left him and his mother when he was only three years old, and his mother went on to marry three more times. After that. He traveled along with his mother to Sydney, New York and Toronto before he decided to leave for Los Angeles for good to start his acting career at the age of 15.
His life is full of tribulations and tragedies, like the birth of his stillborn daughter Eva, the death of his longtime girlfriend Jennifer SIM, and the death of his dear friend in actor River Phoenix. Now he is internet famous as a recluse who tries to stay away from the media and enjoys ballroom dancing and surfing more than anything. And then there’s Keanu Reeves. Keanu Reeves is having a moment if the highest paid actor of all time and regular box office success can be said to have ever really stopped having a moment.
Still, if the Speed and The Matrix star thought he was famous before, he obviously didn’t count on becoming the Internet’s new boyfriend in 2019 with a blockbuster hit in John Wick Chapter Three, Parabellum, a riotous cameo in Netflix romcom Always Be My Maybe and an upcoming voice role in the latest Toy Story movie, Reeves has been getting more attention than he has in years.
It’s not just his films that Keanu Reeves fans are interested in, however. The actor’s general good guy has also been a hot topic of late, with the latest subject to get digital tongues wagging being Reeves evident respect for women and their personal space. The tweet quickly went viral and now has more than 300,000 likes. Fans have celebrated the photos as evidence that Reeves is respectful of women. Over the weekend, Twitter user Komoy Lindsay alerted the internet to a strange new phenomenon Keanu Reeves secret Hover hand.
Being the excellent guy that he is, Reeves apparently refrains from touching any woman who requests a photo with him, instead preferring to let his hand float above her back. Lindsay implied that Reeves was simply taking no chances in the hashtag Me Too era. It appears Kiano has been deploying the Hover hand for a while. There he is, keeping his jujitsu train mitts away from Suki Waterhouse at the premiere of their 2016 film The Bad Batch. Here he is letting his Ridy float like a respectful Zencloud over an anonymous fan.
And here he is, keeping his hands where the photographer can see them, around the back of not one, but two admittedly gun toting women. So there you have it. Keanu Reeves, movie star and friend to female fans everywhere. Keep on getting on, you righteous angel. Some, however, saw the habit as a strategy to avoid any accusations of inappropriate behavior, sometimes seen as a negative symptom of the hashtag MeToo movement.
Though false allegations of sexual misconduct are very rare, many Twitter users have rejected this narrative, pointing out that a man can be respectful of women’s bodies and personal space without chalking it up to paranoia. Others have noted that the practice, sometimes called Manor hands or Hover hands, is a sign of respect in Korea, Reeves, who has Chinese heritage, identifies as an Asian American and person of color.
Some die hard fans, however, are blessed with the opportunity to get a bit more personal. I think in a lot of ways, celebrities are quite literally used as idols, a form of hope for imperfect people to look up to. We choose people who we think have the perfect talent and give them the perfect jobs, lives and money and then we try to live vicariously through them.
But the reality is no. Life is perfect, devoid of suffering. Everybody knows that. I think they just like to forget hounding celebrities is actually really damaging. I mean, imagine walking out on the street and being surrounded perpetually by people acting for you, trying to see you smile and tell them you’re worth something so they feel a little closer to perfection.
You’d miss out on seeing people going about their daily lives. Don’t you think eventually it would make you fake? Don’t you think it would be all too easy to lose yourself when you’re marketed and sold to everyone around you? And sure, there’s often a whole team of people behind the celebrity, and I think that having people around you who know you and aren’t afraid to be honest with you and keep you humble could really help. But at the end of the day, lots of people would see you as a piece of meat or a hope factory.
And I’m sure you’d want to help, but it would be hard, really. The experience would differ for everyone. I guess there’s a lot more I could say on the topic and many more reasons I could give, but I want to see what you come up with. This is something that I think about a lot and it’s quite close to me, so I’m excited to see what I get. Just to clarify, by so excited, I don’t mean just being passionate about the celebrities art and appreciative of it.
That would most likely definitely be me, but excited to the point where you’re pretty much worshiping them whilst having a silent panic attack and wonder this would not be me, but that’s just because of my personal views. I totally respect their passion and enthusiasm. And quite honestly, I get really obsessed over things like music and physics and stuff.
I just won’t cross the line to the point where I dig for pieces of information of a celebrity’s life or scream at them in the street because I appreciate they probably get a lot of it and I’d want to give them a little space. However, if you’re someone who would do either, I completely respect your opinion.
This is what Keanu Reeves confessed in one of his interviews. I’m trying not to be alone so much a man. It’s a struggle. I want to get married and I want to have kids. That’s at the top of the mountain.
I’ve got to climb the mountain first. I’ll do it. Just give me some time. Sadly, Reeves wasn’t biting. I don’t work here, Keanu Reeves says, seemingly confused by my offer.
Data remembered later dater Tweeted Reeves found him again and said, I realized you probably wanted my autograph, he says. So I signed this. He hands me a receipt from the concession stand that he signed on the back. He then casually throws an ice cream cone in the trash can and sees his movie. Only later did it click with data.
Reeves bought an ice cream cone he didn’t want just to get receipt paper so he could scribble his autograph. For a 16 year old idiot. This act of the actor has gotten him numerous praises from all around the world for respecting the personal spaces of fans without assuming they would be comfortable with a friendly touch.
While the move was widely welcomed, as it should be, Some took this as a moment of realization for how low the bar is for men to get celebrated over something that should be common practice throughout. Personal space is a very important social skill for children to learn.
Understanding and respecting personal space helps children to have good interactions with other people and it can keep them safe. Having boundaries means the physical and emotional limits we set to avoid getting used, manipulated or hurt by others. You ever heard the phrase everyone is different? I believe this phrase symbolizes the boundaries of a person. Everyone has different boundaries.
